Location & Surroundings

The Földi Clinic is located in the southern Black Forest at an altitude of 900 m in a scenic setting directly adjacent to a nature reserve. Nevertheless, it is well connected to the public transport network:

  • By plane
Airports: Basel/Mulhouse, Zurich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. Rail connections are available from these airports.
  • By train
Main station: Freiburg im Breisgau. Change to regional trains towards Titisee/Neustadt or Seebrugg, alighting at Hinterzarten station
  • By car
At the entrance to Hinterzarten the route to the Földi Clinic is signposted. You can park your car in the nearby paid public car park close to the clinic.

The Black Forest is Germany's highest and largest contiguous low mountain range. The world-famous Black Forest lake – the Titisee with its lakeside promenade – is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Europe. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the High Black Forest and with wide views up to the Feldberg, the lake is one of the cleanest bathing lakes in Germany.

Physical activity is an essential component of successful treatment for lymphological conditions. Depending on a patient's health, the High Black Forest offers a wide range of physical activities in the immediate vicinity of the Földi Clinic.

Földischule – the training institute for ML/KPE

Since its foundation in the early 1980s, the Földischule has trained more than 45,000 therapists in Manual Lymph Drainage / Complex Physical Decongestive Therapy (KPE) and is one of the leading and most renowned providers of advanced training in this field worldwide.

Földi-trained therapists now work successfully with this method not only in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, but also in the USA, Australia, Asia and Latin America.

The Földischule: a main centre and many external course locations

The school's headquarters is in Freiburg in South Baden, where courses in MLD/KPE are offered monthly throughout the year. As a result, training places are often still available at short notice.

The connection to the Földi Clinic, which treats over 6,000 patients with lymphatic disorders each year, guarantees practice-oriented training. An extensive accommodation list also ensures that all participants in Freiburg can find an affordable room/apartment.

to the Földischule course programme

Some of the Földischule's courses offer participants the opportunity to gain insight into everyday clinical practice and to observe selected lymphological conditions and their treatment by the "professionals". This considerably enhances the quality of the training.

Földischule – No. 1

  • From Berlin to Freiburg, from Mönchengladbach to Dresden… at numerous locations you will find Földi courses across the country, often also near you
  • Our advanced courses in lymph drainage also set international standards: courses in Hungary, Denmark and Turkey are currently on our programme
  • Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the lymphatic system according to current medical and therapeutic standards
  • Indications beyond KPE for additional physiotherapy measures to optimise treatment success
  • Exclusive seminar series for successful graduates of the Földi method
  • Opportunity for clinical observation at the Földi Clinic
