Obesity treatment

For patients with obesity associated lymphedema, the treatment of the obesity is a central part of the therapy, in addition to the lymphedema treatment.

We offer a conceptional and guideline-orientated program for long-term weight loss for motivated patients:

• Nutritional advice
• Exercise program
• Psychological support
• Internistic diagnostics and treatment

The care of obese patients is provided by an interdisciplinary team of sport therapists and physiotherapists, psychologists, dieticians and specialists for internal medicine.

We offer advice on bariatric surgery (e.g. gastric bypass or gastric banding) to patients with a body mass index (BMI) of over 40 kg/m² and can put them in touch with the relevant centres if desired.
