Lymphological plastic-surgical treatment

Lymphological/plastic surgery as an additive measure to conservative lymphedema treatment may be indicated for:

  • Skin tightening/ debulking surgery after physical decongestive therapy of lymphedema in stage III (elephantiasis)
  • Removal of lymphocutaneous fistulae
  • Removal of lymphangiomas
  • Surgical revision ofof genital lymphedema
  • Lymph collector transplantation according to Baumeister may be performed in suitable cases.
